Do you know that the injector numbers do mot match the cylinder numbers?
Yeahh but IID gives you the faultcodes on the cylinder Numbers not on the injector Numbers.
Not sure about the live readings, so have a Good Research before you Exchange one or two..Best regards

When it comes to numbering there can also be confusion with code readers, live values and injectors. The ECM actually lists the injectors as 0 to 5, with 0=cylinder 1 and 5=cylinder 6. Cylinders 1 to 3 are also known as Bank A with 4 to 6 as Bank B. To keep a common format and to make it easier to understand some code readers list the injectors as 1 to 6.
Others list by firing order (1 - 4 - 2 - 5 - 3 - 6) which, for a RHD vehicle can make it:
- Driver’s side front cylinder, cylinder 1, injector 1
- Driver's side centre cylinder, cylinder 2, injector 3
- Driver's side rear cylinder, cylinder 3, injector 5
- Passenger side front cylinder, cylinder 4, injector 2
- Passenger side centre cylinder, cylinder 5, injector 4
- Passenger side rear cylinder, cylinder 6, injector 6

I brought 2 reconditioned injectors and swooped them out with what thought were the ones causing issues then took the two I removed to be tested. If one comes back good you can then use that to swop out another and get that tested and so On, at least the car is never off the road and you won’t have a massive bill to fork out on injectors that are perfectly fineMetal auto sump & fluid change (3 hrs)

...before changing an injector because of the injector Balance, I would make an injector leak back/off test.
I had also one injector at maximum and one at minimum. I changed both to reconditioned injectors, gut the bad balance was still there. The leak test pointed out another injector. After changing this one everything was fine.

You changed the two that were compensating for the bad one that’s why. I’d rather pay £130 for a recon with 12 months warranty that’s tested for leak off and the solenoid, then take the swooped out injectors and get the same test on them for £10 each. I wanted to check through all of mine as they were all original and 155,000 spentMetal auto sump & fluid change (3 hrs)

I am led to believe you cannot get parts to recon most common rail injectors, and most recons are actally cleaned and pressures adjusted units?
I did buy a new one and and started swapping, it was better but not right and a couple of years later just swapped all 6, runs and starts better, slightly better mpg but tbh hardly noticeable, less smoke in the mirrors at night.

All good stuff guys , i have regular contact with a derv specialist, they explained what gets done on refurb, alot of the time the tiny spring that regulates spill back goes weak and that causes issues , others its the nozzle itself thats worn which effects the spray pattern, which in a health derv injector is nothing more than a fine mist , spill testing is imo pretty definative and is usually my go to with injector problems, will update later
