| Installing D4 electric seats in my 2006 D3 S |
|
Yet again I’ve found myself trawling the forum for mod inspiration and I’ve come across a pair of heated electric seats from a D4.
I already have heated seats in D3, but I’d like to have electric adjustment too.
Is it possible to retrofit them? If so, how easy / complicated is it?
Alternatively, did D3’s ever have electric seats and should I be looking for those instead?
Thanks 12 months of D3 ownership have passed and I’m still loving it!

The seats in my D3 HSE are electric, memory and heated... so yes  I want to see the sweets before I get into your windowless van... I'm not stupid!

D3 seats have the electric controls on the seat base, whereas the D4 has them on the door panel.
That's what's stopped me changing my D4 seats for D3 seats.  ...... always on the road less travelled 🚧

Thanks for the responses guys, I’ll have a look around for a pair of D3 electric seats. I’m not fussed where the controls are so I’ll go for the easiest to install option. 12 months of D3 ownership have passed and I’m still loving it!

What model year are you referring to. My 2013 has the control buttons on the side of the seat base.
