Hi Everyone,
After having a disco 2 for 9 years followed by a disco 3 for 10 years and a brief 8 month ownership of a Volvo XC60 i have come back to Land Rover ownership with a 2012 Disco 4.
I am currently insured with Adrian Flux and have been for a number of years however i had a shock when i got the quote to insure the Disco 4, i have been quoted over £1350, last October i was paying £400 for the Disco 3 insurance.
Can any recommend a good company to insure my new truck that are not expensive
Any help much appreciated
Regards

Difficult to say with insurance, so many variables, what's good for one person, not necessarily good for another.
A Plan were also good for me, but have gone up from last year (still quite a bit cheaper than Adrian Flux in my case) I also found A Plan good for covering modifications.

Sounds like some time on a comparison site and a check on the direct line/Aviva web sites would give you a good comparison and likely to end up with a more competitive quote.
Mine also went up steeply (but not that steeply) and I ended up ringing the insurer to see what could be done. They ended up a little cheaper than the cheapest comparison quote in the end. So worth calling your insurer too, but be armed with a cheaper comparison quote when you call them, so you can discuss from a stronger position.
Good luck. Gary

I was reading over the weekend about the massive increase in car insurance with many policies for all sorts of cars comfortably over £1000.
According to the article (BBC IIRC) its because of the lack of spare parts in the supply chain, with some taking over a year to arrive. So rather than pay out for a hire car or storage the insurance companies are writing off cars with as little as 20% claim to value that are easily repairable.
and what are they blaming............
yep you guessed it, Brexit and the war in Ukraine !! 2011 D4 XS 305 MY12 - gone but not forgotten

Funny you should mention it as it is that time of year for me as well - been looking at comparison sites and getting absurdingly high quotes from very few companies to what I'd normally expect (two or three times vs my current premium).
Very interesting reading RogB - would go to explaining it a little more as my circrumstances haven't changed (another year added to a healthy NCB).
I should be getting the renewal email soon so will see what they come up with!

Tried the internet sites and all coming in a lot higher, luckily my current provider Adrian Flux seemed to have seen sense and my premium has only slightly increased after several phone calls this morning
Why do they try it on every time its renewal time!!

Renewal went up by 30% but managed to reduce that down to around 15% over the phone... no good deals on comparison sites so stuck with my current provider (who have been good many years).
