Insurance hike - Irish market
Just received insurance renewal quote for next month. Increase of 97%
Clean licence - 9 yrs no claims bonus
Rang broker, once I'd picked myself up off the floor, to be told that commercial insurance on 'jeeps' have increased massively. No reason given, that's just the way it is now.
Anyone for the Irish lot on here getting same increases?

Insurers do that this side of the Irish Sea too, Ted.
I now have to go through several insurance comparison sites to make sure I am
getting a decent deal.
It seems that these days, loyalty is worthless or seen as an excuse to "deflower you from behind".

Id say my self it the new crew cab phase that's going on .
With people converting disco3/4 and other 4x4s from cars to commercials and saving over 1k on road tax down to 333 euro a year.
All of a sudden massive drop in sdp sales in insurance and massive up take in commercial
Could be wrong
