Had a chat with insurers this morning regarding price of premium after a remap. The reply was 1% increase in premium for every 1% increase in BHP (and most, JE/TT, etc are all around 20% improvement), but here's the rub, no increase for improvement in torque, so anybody got a remap that just improves torque, or is that impossible, I guess it is.

If you have got your car second hand and the 'previous' owner had it remapped without your knowledge, then in theory you have not commit any offence in not disclosing it to them as you do not know, and do not have the equipment to check
Insurance companies make you laugh, if your honest with them they stuff you, and they wonder why there are so many people out there with no insurance Still miss my D3

It would be impossible
bhp is a function of torque and engine speed.
If there is an increase in torque, there will also be an increase in power (bhp).
If the increase of torque is lower down the rev range, then the overall max bhp will be lower than if the torque increase is at the higher end of the rev range.
Does that make sense? 2006 Discovery 3 TDV6 SE Auto Buckingham Blue
