Intercooler upgrade
I would like to upgrade my intercooler on my D3 and have read about people saying about RS500 intercoolers. Do all the standard pipes fit it and what do you have to do to make it fit?Tonga Green D3

RS500 cooler just fits. Needs a couple of reducers, and joiners, and one out,et from the cooler needs cut to fit
I didn't make up any brackets to mount on my own car, because it's such a tight fit, it isnt going anywhereMy D3 Build Thread

Do you have any pics of your truck with it fitted and bumper on at all? As I have lights in my front grill not sure if I have room for one. My lights go to the diagonal bars begins the grill.Tonga Green D3

I'm guessing you have to remove the bumper and everything to fit the intercooler? If there any modification to have to be made apart from pipe work?Tonga Green D3

Buy Now is normally £120
Bumper has to come off, rad pack needs unbolted to fit the cooler in, but mounts in its normal place
Front end of the chassis leg needs trimmed slightly, as seen in the pic. Same has to come off the front crash bar, but doesn't affect its strength/structure

Where is it tight, Where the intercooler Flares out near the bottom? If so I wonder if I could cut abit of the intercooler out and weld it in abit thinner.Tonga Green D3

Have you any idea, or can you remember, what connection/reducer pipes you need to buy to get this to fit?
