TBH, on the Almond/Nutmeg D4 I saw in the dealer, the nutmeg really wasn't the different to the almond so if the carpet is one or the other may be difficult to spot...

Most people seem to like the lighter interior by the content of the replies.
It's all down to personal choice - my experience with previous cars indicate that black is far more practical in the long run, but maybe not everyone agrees!
I'm still very pleased with the Ebony interior, it does not feel at all gloomy and I think it complements the high tech feel of the car, especially in Zermatt colourway.Paul

i'm thinking of finally deciding to go for a new D4 HSE and have found this interesting and useful.
Does anyone have a comment on the robustness of the lighter coloured leather in terms of getting dirty. In my experience lighter leathers show the marks and general grime much more (our previous D3 had Alpaca and even the almond D4 in the showroom was already showing signs of grime on the seats - jeans were always the worst for leaving marks).
It seems to me that although the lighter colour is better in the showroom and for about 5 minutes afterwards, black may simply be easier to live with? I'm not sure I want to spend my money supporting the leather cleaner industry!!
Any thoughts on which outside colours go best with a black interior?V8NOT - because it's a diesel of course!
