Absolutely stunning job there Robert, when you say two months was that just putting her back together? Or was that stripping and refurbishment as well? I know you’ve been collecting parts for a while Very Happy

HI Nigel,

Two months for interior refurbishment only. Approximately 1.5 years was around all other rebuilds and part replacements - basically the entire car was disassembled to frame level. Only genuine parts were used and it was taken account with the accessories. Roof rack is still ahead.....

Next step is the point job - exterior, just recently bought the A-pillar covers, front cow moulding panel, wiper arms sw well.... Hope will be shorter in time than the rest.

My new project is a G4 D3 - that work started as well with the proper base car - a full option HSE (Swiss car as well).

Robert

Interior looks great Robert but unfortunately I have spotted one small mistake that you've made when putting it back together !.....

You've put the steering back on the wrong side Laughing

Allow me an impertinent question, and my apologies for that, we know more or less how long it takes, but how much is the general budget that you manage in the end? Of course you are within your right to ignore this question, and if so I will not hold any resentment for it, but…can it be economically acceptable? …greetings and good work, I would like to be able to do the same!! I am closely following the final result, which will be magnificent without a doubt….👍🏼👍🏼

It is a valid question.

This car was a very nicely maintained car, when I bought I collected the entire service history from new with all service invoices included - so I clearly could see what was replaced, which could provide a very good indication for the rebuild. Also it was serviced at official JLR garages except only one time only.

Well, I see ~ the half price of the new car price will be spent on the complete build, plus the car itself.

Robert
