I've read through the thread and I'm a bit confused on whether there is now a LR produced cable that charges the iPhone 3GS? I can see the adaptor reference, and mention that LR are aware of the issue and that new cars built post October will come with a new lead - but has anyone actually received an iPhone 3GS charging lead supplied by LR?
If yes, could you provide the part number please?

I'm picking up my Discovery on wednesday, but I already asked about iPhone charging to the dealer: he tested the cable with his iPhone, and just told me it was charging!
So, maybe they solved the issue.
If you tell me where I can find any part number, I syurely will post it after wednesday.

There has to be (have been?) a fix in the circuitry as well as the cable. From memory (details posted earlier in thread) this should be in you D4 by now
Also check dealer was using an iphone 3G/3GS - older iPhones do charge ok!

Picked up the car today, and can confirm that my iPhone (3GS) 's been charging by the standard cable.

According to the LR website the iphone 3gs is not compatible with the bluetooth, however the website has been proved wrong. Since it seems that the charging issue is now sorted, can anybody confirm that a new 3GS (not got one yet but working on it) is fully compatible with new D4 (not got that either yet but it is on order) Salesman thinks it will.
Anybody able to confirm one way or the other?
Many thanks
Steve

Ok, apart the issue already known (when answering a call, sometimes speaks from the phone, sometimes from the car audio), my iPhone 3GS (fw 3.1.2), works perfectly with bluetooth.
