I have 4 different FM transmitters - one will not work in the Disco (buzzing interference) and the other three are variously awkward to use and all produce significant hiss which will not filter out
Saving up for Nick's kit 2006 D3 finally swapped for a 2016 D4 Graphite in Graphite grey. No mods
got mine plugged into the AUX connector via on of these Belkin jobs

works a treat, no hiss and good volume

Yes I know he does the tune. I'd love to have it done but my insurance company were not very impressed when I mentioned it! Even when I stressed it was for fuel saving purposes
And the big question, Why did you mention it. its impossable for them to know its there so why give them the excuse to charge you more money.CLUB "Ah Shor it'll be grand"

God forbid I had a serious accident and an investigation was launched, I'm pretty sure it would be found. I know this is complete paranoia but I'd just feel better knowing I was covered.

Another solution, which is kinda mid way between those FM transmitters and the full blown LR iPod unit is the “Dension Link FMâ€
I gives you a cradle to mount the iPod & feeds the audio through a preset on your radio. but as it's a direct aerial connection, there's none of the popping & hissing you get from the FM transmitters.~
Much easier install than the LR system & will work with base stereos, or those without an Aux in.
.............but reading back on past posts they seem to give some problems, particularly with the steering wheel buttons.....
Mine did throw a wobbler for no apparrent reason.....my local dealer was going to replace......& I took the D3 in to have this done - they found one connetor to the iPod CPU was slightly adrift....this re-inserted now works OK
Worth getting.....I think so & if you get one low cost & fit yourself....definately worth getting.....the radio links I have tried are a bit hit & miss (Belkin & Griffin). It would be worth mounting the iPod holder l/h side of steering wheel....far less public view.....
Make sure you get the holder that fits you iPod.....I dont know the LR device does new NanoBREXIT - done properly.
Right now ...We need Government - not Politics
Save the Dipstick Flagbearer-keep it simple, less likely to fail campaign-agenda items:Starting Handles, Acetylene Lamps.
Founder: Dipsticks-R-Us Inc
D3 HSE-perfectly formed, passenger friendly...has real DIPSTICK
Jag XK-but sadly no DIPSTICK...HUGE design fault
FL2 has DIPSTICK..."real comfort in rear seats"
VW Golf wondermobile (?)..has real DIPSTICK
Morris Minor..original DIPSTICK technology..and a real KEY.
