iPOD to rear Aux socket - problem |
|
I bought a connector and plugged it into the rear Aux socket and get a rapid clicking noise - nothing else....anyone have this issue? I had replaced the "blank" plate with the cig lighter / aux plug and connected the wiring so thought it should all be fine...sigh...
cheers

Someone did BP.I can't remember who though but I do remember TFC saying that it was some sort of crossover/interference from a CANbus signal. ( Or did I imagine all that )

No you are right for once DW
I ran a wire straight from the back of that Aux socket and wired it straight into the back of the head unit - purrrrrrrfect sound from my ipod
ahem.......When I say 'I ran' - I got a man to solder the wires into the unit and did the rest myself. Looked easy
Wiggs is the man on this sort of stuff and he's great assistance on all matters technobabble. This has been discussed before so maybe a quick search for AUX will reveal more before you ask.
Best of luck A happy childhood ... is the worst possible preparation for life.
