IRL recalls - 2007/08 HPF Pump - 2006/09 Brake Vacuum Assist

Anyone in Ireland get any notifications on the above yet ?

Checked the booster vacuum pipe earlier today and found some oil.I called my local service manager and by coincidence he had received word today from LR notifying him of the recall. If you notice oil , it might be worth calling your own dealer sevice dept as he mentioned that a lot of vehicle owners didn't receive postal notifications previously where they should have.

If anyone has received anything could they post a copy here.

The VIN Range is shown on one of the linked documents in DG's post here http://www.disco3.co.uk/forum/topic39714.html

I'm in by about a 1000 Whistle

I haven’t got any “official” word yet from Land Rover.

But I was in with the dealer last week & the service manager told me that the recalls were in the offing & that letters should be on the way. He was going to give me a shout, as both the D3 & RRS are affected.

So I’ve the D3 going in next week while we’re away on holidays & then the RRS is going in on our return.

Both jobs are needed on both vehicles along with another, which involves torqueing a bolt somewhere on the gear/transmission selector (auto box). Can't quite remember what he said regarding that Embarassed

We are talking MY05/55 here so looks like the affected vehicle range may have increased Confused

This is very interesting.. my Disco is for the dealers on Monday for some work and I asked about this my car is an 55-plate and was told it's outside the VIN range also.

Ni

As I do not have the VIN range and Discowex's link does not work bit in the dark on this..... .

Mine is on a 55 plate too so would be interesting to see the VIN range involved.

Anyone got the VIN range?

Brake vac recall P017.... published VIN range......LA367110 to LA513325. Actual VIN range - a lot more than that, I suspect. Whistle

Well according to my Vehicle reg document I am LA 359...... so well below the range Shocked

Could be Stratstones dropping an almighty Censored or trying to get my D3 in the workshop under false pretense as they keep stalking me to have my vehicle serviced OR the range has been extended.

Anyway they ain't doing the service and my D3 is currently in the capable hands of M J Fews to try and get it functional again so will check in with them on Monday if its in need of the recall action(s).

It is interesting that yours has also been recalled Simon. My D3's an My06 but on a 55 plate and not in the vin range on the recall but did have this brake vac problem a couple of years ago and I would have thought therefore that mine should have been recalled too Confused

Mine is probably about the same vin. Also got oil on a year and a half ago. Has oil there again. Evil or Very Mad Rolling Eyes
Outside range of recall. Dealer is going to fix with the recall parts anyway.
Have you checked for oil in the line again?
