Is it easy to swap amps (Hi-line for LOGIC 7)?

6 channel Amp (AUD2C) for a 12 channel Amp (AUD4).

Are the plugs compatible?
Will the IHU need recoding?

Thanks, -Doug

Hiya Doug

Firstly welcome to the board from across the pond Very Happy
Do drop by the "say hello here" thread and tell us a bit about you and your D3 sorry LR3 Embarassed

Nice to see you know your Amp type designations Thumbs Up
Because of that i am going to assume you are a fairly switched on cookie and as such my post will go into quite some detail.

I have a low line D3 and am undertaking the, normally regarded as impossible, task of updating it to High Line, and in addition i am preparing to upgrade further to Premium logic 7.

Fortunately my profession means i am well clued up on the D3 / LR3 and all its ICE variation aspects, so i guess you came to the right place.

The upgrade from low line to high line is indeed a truly monumental task, not to be taken lightly by any means, starting with changing the main wiring loom, which means i have the benefit of being able to add the additional wiring to my loom proper for full on Logic 7 support prior to fitment. I also have all the pins i require to connect my wiring through the various connectors to give me an as OEM result.

However, i personally don't think that the upgrade from Hi Line to Logic 7 is all that difficult. As such, i have put together a "how to" thread on the board here

hope this helps

warmest regards
