it's very slow compared to many other (small) sites
you can't compare it to Google or the BBC etc ..
try pinging (or tracert) to 85.13.215.194 and see what results you get.
Have to admit both results for me are pretty good (<25ms and 7 hops) so I suspect the actual servers aren't serving very well. I'm using a 10mbit line.

I've just tested the site with 4 different browsers
IE7 is excruciatingly slow ...
