Is it trying to tell me something? |
|
Had my D4 for 6 weeks now, and had this twice so far.
I've left the car for a period of time (once at the station whilst at work - about 14 hours, and once overnight outside the house about 8 hours).
When I've come back and pressed unlock on the key fob, the alarm sounds for about half a second, and then the car unlocks as normal. The only thing I can see when I get in is that the clock has reset to 00:00 and the trip computers memory is wiped.
I'm assuming that the clock and trip computer resetting is consistent with a battery disconnect, but the cars just been parked up.
I remember that on my D3 if the alarm had been going off, when you unlocked it there were extra flashes in the indicators. Is this the equivalent on the D4? I'm fairly sure that the alarm didn't go off, as though I'm capable of sleeping through it, SWMBO would have alerted me gently to the fact ....
If so, why would this reset the clock? The battery seems fine for starting the car, so I'm assuming it hasn't run out of juice.
Anyone seen this before?
