Just got the quote for renew my insurance with NFU and the want just short of £1300 , are they taking the .I know ive just turned 36 yrs old and im a HGV car transporter driver but i think its a touch high, any one know any cheap people to insure with. Cheers people.

Dave by the sounds of it NFU are deliberately pricing themselves out of the market, many on here have had the same.
Depends whether you want off road cover, if not I am with Privelege and pay less than £350 protected and they give business use for me and my partner for no cost.

My renewal was £850 - 36yrs, male, no points, no claims in 5 years!!!! Change the postcode from Oldham to Cornwall and it dropped to £250 !!! Great between e and SWMBO I'm being billed over a grand a year to live in b y Oldham (and our postcode is as good as it gets in Oldham!!!

£477 fully comp, full NCB protected. With a broker called CHRIS KNOTT. myself (45yr old) and SWMBO, Domestic use only. One non fault accident in last 3 years. Clean licence for me but 3 points for SWMBO (is she not happy about that!!)

evening, just a quick note to the last post bout NFU. Just gone and insured the with a suppermarket lol. Asda for £604 full comp, no claims protected, glass cover,legal, hire car not three bad. NFU can go and

Hard to beat I suspect.
And hard to match as well! They have just quoted me £482 with £500 excess..............what a waste of time ringing them!
I shall now accept my Renewal Quote with Swiftcover, me & SWMBO Business use for both of us, for £245...........

Well in the big bad smoke that is london. ,£790 7 years no claims , not a company director , van driver , red not White , and last year it was £580 gone up were with shielas wheels , and swmbo insures it , on the road , £300 excess , I want cheaper, 2008 ,hse, it does what it says .
