To PaulP - you are a complete star!! Wow, this guy is in serious trouble. I did call him today and offer him to buy back the car at 10k and I'll chalk down the almost 9k hit (just been going through the bills - god its been a bad car) to experience but he hasnt responded. Think I'll cancel that offer.
My wife came up with a cracking idea - send the whole story to Top Gear - My initial advert, some of your (disco3 website) questions - "has this car been off-road?" with my replies. Then do a link to your videos and photos. Brilliant TV. And if you add the dealers comments from a year ago (again on this website) its even better!!!
Anyway, thanks to everyone on this site for their comments and photos/videos - it has been an enlighening, and i cant say unenjoyable, experience. Really, its quite fun!
Keep you posted with conclusion.
BTW I have sent emails to all bidders on eBay saying that the 1 owner on record isnt correct and the car has been off-road so hopefully being honest might pay dividends in the future.
I like your style I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.

i did have a bit of a chuckle when you said it hadnt been offroad. if thats what your were told and have evidence then I would go after the seller big time.

we used these guys for a personal injury claim and they were excellant - they also do false representaion claims so I dont see why they wouldnt be just as good

Hi boshmatics - apologies if you felt I was OTT - but in essensce there was some truth in my 'fishy feeling' it just turns out that you would have been ££££ better off if YOU had of had the 'something fishy' feeling before you parted with the cash in the first place. I wish you good luck in your quest to screw every penny out of those that seem to have ripped you off - and good luck with the Clarkson lot - make sure you point out that Hamster admired it back when it was shiny and new!!

Thanks guys. DiscoDunc - thanks, Ive given them a call but seems like they only do personal injury at the moment but they are pointing me in the right direction.
Classically, The Blue Pearl has been editing all his comments from last year. I had printed out, and copied to email, the first 2 pages but Im missing 3rd page. It makes him look even more guilty trying to cover up his tracks!

Spoke with Paul and said I got the referal from someone on this site - if you dont get the £200 and I do win then consider yourself covered as the past conversations are priceless. I'd paid a deposit when those conversations were written but didnt actually buy the car until a week later so he knew all about it, and Anrew mentions that he spoke with him.
