Many Thanks

JE Engineering in Coventry had a re-map (same as a chip, but only software update) special offer (£342 I think) they come highly recommended for this and for general service if you're local to them.

Bell Auto Services are a site sponsor who offer a remap in a box which you can take on and off.

10forcash is another site sponsor who can offer TorqueTune engine remap and also provided mobile servicng and expedition prep.

TurboChip are also available nationally for a re-map.

Think that covers most options.......

That must be a rare one Andrew. I thought they had all been "locked" Laughing

FWIW : Ive had a Turbochip tune from New (+1000 miles). Now done 90K and 3 years old. Been very happy

Had a remap on previos td5 and it helped alot with bad flat spot. Do the cheap plug in chips(on ebay) work as well as a remap (for example from BAS).
Cheers

Errrr..............................No!

Plug in boxes cannot interact with the complex electronic engine management of a car like the D3.

Much better to have a vehicle specific remap that utilises all the sensors scattered around the engine to 'look after' the engine and give you the performance increase Thumbs Up

Err No, Comon concensus is that 'plugins' (other than the BAS or BBS type) just raise the fuel pressure to get the increase in power. Re-maps provide a change in the fuel and other engine tolerances/sensors to provide a better more reliable increase.
