+1 as J77 said.
I work hard so does the wife, so we have a good life that includes new cars, a caravan etc if we want something we save for it and get it, the whole point of living and working I believe. But the pay off is that we use the caravan and the Disco to do things and have a good time often with like minded peopleMY17 D5 1st Edition Namib Orange

Im struggling with you lot spending 40 or 50 grand on a new motor..I earn well over the average wage..into the 90 percent of top wage earners according to gov figures and I cant afford a new disco...must be doing something wrong.
If you earn that much surely you can afford £399 a month ?!
Curious how you get to that figure? Ive not seen a PCP deal anywhere near that unless you put down a fair bit or trade in another vehicle.MY2012 D4 HSE Nara Bronze with some extra stuff

On the Land Rover website, yes there's a £9450 deposit although you can increase to a 4 year deal to reduce the costs.Velar MY18 D180 S Narvik

Here it is, picked it up at 11am. Absolutely love it, not as flash as my DS but boy it's good to be back.

Looks lovely - very similar to mine and a similar story on the DS ... we really didn't get on with it, sat nav was rubbish, arm rests non existent, seats not that comfortable and command driving position not quite right ... loving been back in a Discovery and feeling invincible ... just ignoring the MPG for now MY2016 D4 HSE Loire Blue, 20" Black Gloss, Ebony Interior

Looks great.
Interested to hear your comments on the DS. I was seriously considering one rather than the D4 purely due to cost, however it just felt too compromised in a number of ways. So pleased we went down the D4 route, just an amazing machine in all ways.

The DS isn't a bad car it's just not a great one. For me there is a few areas where LR had cut corners, the lack of front seat belt height adjustment made it a bit uncomfortable driving it, incontrol infotainment system is a bit over complicated just changing the demisters has to be done through the touch screen and it is a fair stretch to reach it.
It was nice to drive held the road like glue but the suspension felt a bit firm though not uncomfortable. The slide and recline seating I've yet to see the point of, all it done was prevented the seats folding flat. The ambient lighting was poor, supposed to have signature strips in the doors which couldn't be seen due to the way the door cards were fitted, a lot of complaints from owners.
Land Rover in the brochure say it had the command driving position but it doesn't, you sit very low, I found that a bit awkward.
As I say it's a nice car, just not for me.23.5MY Defender 90 X-Dynamic SE D250 MHEV Pangea Green

First weekend with the Disco, done a couple of minor mods, fitted LED interior lights and LED reverse lights. I ran out of bulbs so more on the way for the footwell and number plate lights. Also on order are Lockwood sill plates, so another busy weekend ahead.23.5MY Defender 90 X-Dynamic SE D250 MHEV Pangea Green
