I've Had A Bad Day Today With My D4 !!!! |
|
Well it all started this morning....
Dropped the "Landmark" off at the dealers at 9.15 so that they could look at a "connectivity issue",the iPod & iPhone 4 plays with extremely muted volume!
So off I went into town with SWMBO ,after 6 hours of trudging round I'd had enough ,so went back to the dealers just on the off chance that it was ready. When we pulled in there she was still wet from just having been jet washed (the D4),not the wife
Proceeded to the service area to collect key fob ,to be told it's all been sorted & they have sourced the problem to being between the iPod port and cable into cubby box .Great I thought
Just about to jump in the D4 and I thought to myself I'd better check round the car to make sure all is ok,I actually felt awkward in doing this !.Then I noticed 4 scratches on the lower part of the drivers door ,I couldn't believe it .
Stormed back in and told them of my disbelief, they straight away got my paperwork out and checked that on arrival this morning my D4 was inspected and no damage was found .The service manager inspected the scratches and said I don't know how that has happend !,so I said neither do I .
I had only washed & chamois leathered it yesterday afternoon & they weren't there then.To give him his due he took it straight into the valet department and said they might pollish out ,came out 15mins later but they were still
there,so he was extremely apologetic and said we need to get it in to have damage repaired
So off we went feeling really p d off Plugged iPhone in and guess what ?????,
Yep your right it still didn't work
So back we go again !!!
Service manager comes out with a Techie's iPhone 3 & it worked ,plugged my iphone4 in & it didn't ,the mystery deepens ,then one of the sales chaps tries his 3G iPhone and some of his tracks play & some don't
Everybody is puzzled !!!!
It was even suggested that it might be the way that I have downloaded/compressed my tracks, but I only use iTunes !. I explained that for the first 2 weeks it worked fine ,I've even tried it at home on the dock and its fine!!!
So there you go that's my BAD DAY Www.devonchilliman.co.uk

Forgot to mention there was a small highlight to the day.....
I was given 4 grub screw thingies that hold the rubber mats down(FOC)
Also I had enquired to wether they had a D3 HSE Wheel that I could use as a spare for my MTR,only to be told they might have a wheel but not that type, but when I got home there was a D3 HSE wheel in the boot (FOC)
B Y typical I had only spoken to Bill Wright last night and taken him up on his offer of selling me his spare he has
