J type fuses
So I've trawled the internet/forums and don't understand why there is so little information about their function. The handbook doesn't even list them only the normal bladed fuses.
The reason I'm asking is, I found one of them missing its listed on the engine fuse box as FL7, I don't know what this affects it has a symbol of a trailer and a circle (O).
the fuse slot has only one spade, assuming the other is broken, can this be repaired?
It doesn't seem to affect the connection when I plug my trailer in the socket all the lights/indicators work and the green trailer indicator symbol shows on the dash.
What I don't seem to have is the trailer assist (yes I do have all the cameras), is this related to the missing fuse?
I think maybe I could be answering my own questions, however it would be great to get some experienced wisdom and fill in some knowledge gaps.
Cheers Pete

Won't be broken, more than likely an optional fuse and different wiring loom for other markets, looks to be the symbol for trailer brakes, pretty sure america and others use electric brakes on their trailers.

I would think Sylvester has nailed it. I think you can get electric brakes in this country too, but they're not very common (ready to be corrected here).Discovery 4 GS 2009 Auto Stornoway Grey

Thanks for the quick replies, any idea why the trailer assist doesn't show up when I hook up, does it only recognise connection when all the pins of the 13 pins are in use, that said, I'm sure it didn't see the caravan either.
