If you have frost before this happened. It’s probably the exhaust/vent valve on the compressor.
Had it twice on two different winters on my last D4.
Did the journey when illuminated.
On next start up several hours later, all clear.
Never bothered doing anything with it.
Or could just be the vent blocked if it was not frosty?Discovery commercial tdv6 auto 2013

We had frost but it was 10 degrees coming up to Suffolk last night. Its warm no so I'll see how it goes on the way back today.

I believe it is brass looking and on top of the compressor somewhere.
I have never looked for it, as it has self healed on the two occasions and currently do not have a D4.
It was on both occasions that a sharp frost and a stiff breeze, and the compressor area facing into the breeze.

It could be just down to battery voltage. If the cars hasn’t been used much before your purchase. May just need a good run to charge it up.Defender 110 2.4 TDCi Utility Station Wagon.
