JLR SDD Battery voltage issue

I have a disco 4 2011 and an ex dealer laptop with the JLR SDD software loaded.

It works very well, except that it won't perform certain functions unless the car battery has at least 13v. I have put a 50amp charger on to it and also jump leads from a different running discovery. However it claims there is only 11v. I have put a meter on the battery with either charging methods and am getting 14.2v.

Is there something I am missing or not doing correctly?
