When i got my D3 it was doing it very slightly, but was much more noticable when i towed the van for the first time.
Iain (10forcash) came and did the oil change, all sorted. He only did a change, its cheaper !!
Get them to do the double flush under warranty. Got our Disco... Love it.....

i have the same prob
does it on mine when towing and when not,but only when putting the power down
let me know if changing the box oil fixes the prob

started when towing and then increases to all occassions, single flush and refill, re-config the gearbox and change the pan filter, all done by TLO lot at yeovil.
around 10k miles later (ie last week) had the "transmission fault & F in the right hand side message centre where d,n,r is.
Sorted with a reconfig as the ecu was not talking to the gearbox. all ok

Had the double flush last week . I havent towed with it yet but the whole car feals better and smoother. Its suprising how these things work up over time. I reackon the D3 hasnt felt as smooth for at leat 12 months !!.
the whining has dissapeared, the gear changes are a lot smoother and the car seems to pull better. Duncan
