Ids - Your parcel is shown out for delivery today, quite pleased we got that away but it isn't the norm, courier collects about 2.00pm, lucky we talked him into returning yesterday.
Thanks for that. Arrived safely at 10am yesterday....... so i better crack on!

Steve
All fitted and seems fine. Quality seems good and no issues. Particularly pleased there was some caliper stainless steel shims and grease included.
My only comments (and don't get me wrong I am extremely pleased! But know feedback is invaluable)
1)The kits have everything to replace the full system apart from new caliper bolts, seem to remember the genuine pads include these. So I had to reuse the existing ones
2)The rear disk inspection hole seems slightly larger as I noticed the plastic inspection cover wouldn't stay in. I just expanded it up a little and all was fine. I suppose so road funge will sort that as well.
3)On a couple of the pads, the rear shim was loose. A few smacks with the hammer on the lugs sorted that.

Hi Ids
Glad you got the job done and are happy with the product, thanks for the feedback.
Bolts - We have TRW pads that come with sliders and no bolts, We have Jurid pads that come with bolts but not sliders, I guess it's about budget, the bolts are high tensile and can be re-used, most garages would add more loctite to the bolts if it was worn off. The OE pads with both in the kit are somewhat more and are they essential?
Inspection port for the EPB shoes, no idea, never been asked this before, but sounds like you are sorted anyway.
The backing shims are coated on both sides so are sort of loose until fitted, there are options on the market, some are stuck on but I guess this manufacturer has decided on using a shim coated on both sides to reduce resonance, never once had a complaint about noise so I guess this set up works, they are obviously not designed to be tight and will not go anywhere once fitted anyway.
Happy motoring! Paul Redding
