Well Shrinky my E Class was definitely not a load of whatever! I drove it for nearly 80k miles without a murmur, and it was like new when I sold it today.
The Discovery is very different, and I know that I will get to appreciate it more every day - especially in the winter when the dear folks from the council don't grit our hilly lane (it's not a designated salting route but we still seem to pay as much council tax!)
And I've even got a heated steering wheel to keep me snug! [/quote]Paul

Maybe when you have to tow an e-class up your hilly lane when the snow and ice hits your D4 will earn 10/10 Badda bing.......How you doin'?

Well I don't call a new gearbox after 12k, 3 new electronic brake units, 2 cracked common rails pumping diesel out on to the engine, The dash and sat nav could only display km for 6 months and no one could re calibrate it to mph. Top quality that Global Warming.... I'm luvvin it

I had my first decent run in the D4 this weekend - up to Derbyshire and Sheffield. Very smooth and comfortable on the motorway, quiet except for some wind noise from the mirrors.
I managed to just get 30 mpg on the way home. I'm still getting used to the sheer size of the car! At least I can look over the hedges and the cars in front
I would seriously consider splashing out on having the windows tinted professionally..
Makes the car look extra 8) FORECAST FOR TONIGHT: things have happened out there!!!

Actually the car goes in this week for tinting - smoking rather than blacking out! It will definitely look better then! Will post new pics to the gallery when done.Paul
