Bought my 62 HSE lux without seeing it first. It should be ok, but you've always got the LR warranty if needs be.
One thing to check is that it comes with everything advertised, I.e 12v charger covers, mats, locking wheel nut and jack (for what it's worth).
Good luck and post some pics on Friday! Discovery 4 HSE Luxury Santorini MY12
Discovery 3 GS Manual Java MY07 ( gone )

Fantastic car relax! I've just bought a second hand new shape RRS blind... Ordered it ...Paid for it... And only saw it on collection....too late then!
Dealers will look after you! It is an absolutely superb car and Mrs Jamess is a very lucky girl!

I just realised the advantage of distance buying as I signed the order form: As this is classed as distance selling, I effectively get a 14 day test drive!! Maybe I'll buy all my cars this way!

As others i did exactly the same as you.
When your particular about the colour or a particular toy (mine was tv's and surround cameras) then your unlikely to walk into your local dealer and them have one to your spec sat there.
I bought mine in Preston again had the video and the assurance that it was perfect and then first saw it when i collected the keys, it was exactly as they described so all good.
They told me an ever increasing number of their sales are exactly that way especially with no part ex.
cheers

I bought my D4 HSE from Conwy Land Rover, but we did look at it first! I thought they were a fair and reasonable Company, and after 18 months or so, there have been no nasty surprises.
I saw it on the Internet, rang up and got them to confirm the spec. ( it had a few extras), agreed a price and did an Internet deposit. Travelled up there to check it out and have a lengthy test drive, and organised a complicated, but surprisingly cheap, rail journey to collect it once all payments had cleared.
I hope everything works out as well for you as it did for me.

I bought my Disco and a Freelander before that, both unseen. Both at LR Main Dealers. Not regretted either. They also took my px's sight unseen.

Conwy LR are my local dealership, and I have bought my last three Discos through them. Good service, no problems, and I would recommend them.
Also getting a Defender for our business, which is arriving next month.
I think you will be fine.

Wow! I have to say you're braver than me. I worry, mostly without cause if I buy something with a price over £50 on the internet.
But that's just me. I'm pretty sure you're covered belt and braces with the distance selling thing if there's a major problem and the warranty for anything else. Bit of an adventure for you - so enjoy!

I recently picked my D4 up bought unseen, I'm in s-York's and car was in Droitwich exact spec and price was keen too, bought and paid for but couldn't hold my excitement for delivery, so train ride down and collected as delivery was nearly 8 days..no regrets! and I think it takes out some of the hassle of dealing face to face and haggling too D4 XS Fuji white, leccy seats, armrests, dog guard, camera, rse, basically a HSE but without sunroofs
Gone my beloved D2 ES "Tara", niagra grey, DVD, General Grabber AT2s, pro sport wheels, facelift "A" bar, oasis side steps, dog guard, de-egr'd.

Went to a LR dealer to test drive a D4 HSE 13 plate as a replacement for my D4 HSE 10 plate. Dealer told me if was in perfect condition over the phone so made the trip in eager anticipation, wrong!
The dealers view of perfection clearly differs from mine as it looked like an angry Lion had been sleeping on the bonnet, the scratches were unbelievable! There was a host of dings and further scratches scattered around the body but the dealer said "don't worry, we'll polish those out" Really, for £45k I want something a whole lot better than that. I was very surprised that a main dealer would leave a car in that condition on their forecourt. Unsurprisingly I chose to stay with my "much cleaner" 10 plate.
