Keeping the external plastic bits looking good ~ what's best

After an over zealous waxing last week, I managed to get wax onto some of the plastic sill and bumper parts.

As these plastic parts look more a shade of dark grey than black and before I get the 'Back to Black' out and possibly finish up changing the colour of this trim unnecessarily, what do you guys recommend which will cover the white wax marks.

Have tried Autoglym Bumper Care but in a short time, the white wax shows through again.

Use 'Back to Black' on the external plastic parts of my wife's mini but these are definately black to start with.

Will any of the above cover up the white residues of wax having come into contact with the plastic though?

You dont want to try and cover it up Griffmaster you want to try and get rid of it. A good rub with some peanut butter on a microfibre cloth should help a lot.

The oils in the peanut butter is what does the trick.

Pic of the trim after using the aforementioned Ultimate Protectant:

Not the best pic, but still fine.

I use Forever Black, it works really well and leaves no sticky residue. The only thing is though, you need to clean and de-grease the part really well before application.

I've tried various oils and peanut butter, (I think it's the oil in the peanut butter that makes it work,) but they all seem to wash off after a bit.

Yes, plenty of UK outlets, I got mine from here -
http://www.performancemotorcare.com/acatal..._1287.html : -

But a quick google search reveals plenty more.

You need to follow the instructions carefully though, particularly in terms of cleaning the item to be "blacked", any oily residue remaining on the surface may result in smears or marks on the final finish.
