Ken and BigDave - a "wheely" great team
Just wanted to put a post up to say thanks to both Ken and BigDave for their help last month.
I've been after some 19" HSE wheels (very rare here in Spain as the D3 HSEs all had 18" wheels as did the SEs). I've also had a hankering for some MT/Rs and finally decided to give in and get some....
Ken quickly sorted out a set of five 19" HSE wheels and had them powdercoated in OEM sparkle silver before shodding them with some chunky new MT/Rs. I should comment that the finish is far superior and very smooth and easy to clean compared to the OEM paint finish.
I had also contacted BigDave about shipping and left them both to it whilst I went on holiday.....they arranged it all between themselves (pick-up times etc) and sent them over ahead of schedule.
Great communication from both (in fact Dave usually replied to my questions by e-mail before I'd even sent them - this guy sleeps with his iPhone on his pillow ).

Ken - the flawless finish of the wheels is a credit to you
The day after I got them dirty, I cleaned them with a pressure washer and the dried mud just slid off them in seconds....I could never do this with my previous wheels (with the original LR paint finish).
To be honest, the finish is like the wheels on our Golf - silky smooth and with a deep metallic effect.....they get just as dirty, but cleaning them is dead easy
Anyway....I suppose that I should say that Dave didn't stick to his end of the deal....he told me that the wheels would arrive in 5 days. I thought it wasn't bad for a 200kg shipment - especially for the price he offered me.

Many apologies Paul,
The member of staff that was responsible for the early delivery has been severly reprimanded and also had all malt whisky priviligies rescinded!
You just cant get the staff!!

I've seen the wheels and MT/R's...and very nice they are too A great finish on the rims The next American ex-pat that calls it a "truck" is going to find out what 2.7 tons feels like on their foot...
