I think this is something that should be smoothed out in software--my V8/slushbox does this from a standstill if I don't let it come to a COMPLETE (and I mean complete) stop for a second or two. It's annoying as hell.
Whaddya know, they engineer out the driveline lash of the D2, and then mimic it in software '05 LR3 HSE
