Kielder 4x4 Safari 12/12/2015
I know lots of Forum members have already experienced the Safari but just wanted to say many thanks to Ian (Hairy Dan) for a brilliant day off-roading in Kielder Forest yesterday...mud and snow aplenty!! It was great to meet Berty83 and other Forum members
I would definitely recommend any Forum members to try it..... I know its not an overland adventure but for people like me to experience some of the capabilities of your Disco it is a great opportunity
Once again many thanks Ian

Yup it was George, still don't know how he did it... all we heard on the CB was "help I'm in a ditch" numerous times, all with an appropriate sense of urgency when we turned the corner and realised it wasn't as small an off as expected.
Good bit of team work involved getting him out, pains me to say it but would've taken a dam sight longer if It wasn't for the Jeeps

Yep twas me, simple and stupid mistake. Note to self to clear mist from defender side window in such conditions stop the vehicle, wipe with cloth or other implement and then move on.
On a positive note the Jeeps got to use their winches; 3 winch pull to get me out the 110 is a bit of a beast. No real damage (surprisingly) at least it was me and not a shiny vehicle.
PS now a proud member of I parked my landy in a ditch at Kielder club. Apparently its a small but very select group Club N.E.R.D.s
