How do you know it’s getting near Christmas?

There’s a chap on the forks of a telehandler thingie putting the Chrimbo lights up on the street lamp.

Very festive as -4.something C and everything is nice and frosty.

Just waiting for the first Bah Humbug. Laughing Laughing

I know it's getting near Christmas because the postman suddenly starts talking to you instead of grunting. Rolling Eyes

Christmas is more than 1/12 of the year away. If your boss paid you a 1/12 of your salary less than you were expecting, would you be happy when he said "it's close enough"? No, and some of us don't think we're "close enough" to Christmas to go in to Christmas-this and Christmas-that every bloody five minutes.

It's all made up nonsense anyway.

I'll celebrate mid winter festival at the appropriate time, not a month or more before!

Bah humbug enough for you?

Christmas begins on the 7th January.

Thought I’d cheer you lot up! Laughing Laughing I side effect of not getting much sleep last night due to having an elderly dog that’s gone nocturnal and desperately wants to be in “his” car, in spite of the temperature. Rolling Eyes

Maybe Santa’s balloon is sponsored by Richard Branson.

Kids spotted this on the Main Street, but I was too busy watching the road. And the lights stop halfway down the Main Street, not going the full length of all the shops.

I must admit the lights are very festive. It was cold, frosty & foggy last night so it all felt very Christmassy. Thumbs Up
