These shows are just the modern equivalent of Victorians going to Bedlam to laugh at the mad people, or going to freak shows to see the unfortunate and deformed. The only difference is that today the "stars" of the shows can make a decent bob or two if they pick the right show. JK's show obviously wasn't intended to make anyone other than JK wealthy. The Love Island stuff at least gives the contestants an opening. But it's a brief career if they do "make it big".

The programme wasn’t done in any compassionate way, it was designed to torment and infuriate people and to film the reaction.
Sure they had Graham the psychotherapist on hand, but he was as much good as a chocolate ashtray. He stood by and watched the destruction. If he’d had any conscious, he’d have walked away from the show years ago.
The world is a better place within it that source of entertainment.

Couldn't agree more - I used to be guilty of watching it occasionally whilst flicking through channels, its a horrendous show - the comparison to Bedlam is very apt. Now Golf GTI PP, 7 speed DSG.

If people are stupid enough to go on these shows and air their dirty laundry in public then I’ve no sympathy for them.

How’s about any TV programmes that has anything to do with dancing, be it strictly or on ice, singing, X Factor, The Voice, Pop Idol, any supposed talent or cooking? Also anything with so called Z list celebrities in it? You know, I am a celeb get me into here, that thing were they look into a celebs family history or goes round their houses.
Any chat show with celebrities. Jonathan Ross et al.
