The Lakes
With the hope of getting a few days camping in over the holidays SWMBO has said no go to camping due to the storm warnings. So just booked The Swan just outside Grassmere. Arrive on 28th and back for a family New Year's Eve night out.
Just hoping for some snow now

The campsite we normally use was closed a few days this past week due to adverse weather. Plus Langdale valley can get windy even without the storms.D4 MY15 SE TECH

I've seen a lot of discos around here. I saw 7 between Windermere and great Langdale last night. Even saw 2 from the top of one of the peaks today.
Are you around here Andy?

No. Arrived at Ambleside at around 12 noon and just booked into The Swan just outside Grassmere on the A591. Yeah seen loads of D3/4's but no stickers. Mine will probably stay in the car park now for the duration. Some walking tomorrow and depending on time might go for a bit of a drive for some gratuitous D3/stunning scenery photos.
Can't believe there's no snow even on the high peaks
Enjoy your stay

Friend of mine is working in the Alps at the moment and very little snow where he is.
So could be a lot worse.
Though if you would have been in Cumbria a
few weeks ago it was like this.

Driving home this morning I thought the views were impressive, so I stopped for a few photos
