Land Ranger services Stockport |
|
Following Guy Salmons comprehensive failure to return phone calls, and when I eventually did get to speak to someone, the earliest date they could have looked at my car was given as 14th June, I booked into Land Ranger services in Stockport.
5th service, repaired tailgate switch and replaced front brakes and a seized calliper. All at short notice. No nice coffee and cakes, nor swarms of suits running around ignoring you, but a good old chin wag with proper mechanics who are passionate about Land Rovers.

Wouldn't go anywhere else - spent ages diagnosing / fixing the Vacuum Switch on my Turbo a few weeks ago and sorted the AA warranty claim out - God knows how that would have panned out at Salmons / Williams etc...
Had my belts and front suspension and last 2 services done there - all top class - nothing like speaking to the guy who actually works on your car.
I was waiting for my keys once and a bloke came in of the street for help - had lost his locking wheel nut - out comes a big box of assorted nuts - 'help yourself and give it us back when your finished' - class guys

Nothing but praise for LandRanger at Atherton also, they used to look after my Defender and now my D3.
Proper Land Rover garage, No frills, just great service backed by knowledge and experience.

Just to close this off, had the car back a few days now, and it's working fine. It took a bit of effort with paperwork and dealing with Warranty Direct, but thanks to Simon at LRS for persevering!
WD agreed to pay for tailgate repair, and new front calliper. Had to cough up for disks and pads though, as WD were not having any of it, despite the conequential damage implications.
