They were an easy fit provided you rehearse the LR type graphic fitting instructions.
They came in one long package (card board box crated with a wooden framework) and each piece of the kit was well wrapped and contained in a fabric bag. Where I did have an issue was with the rubber flanges that sits between the front part of the bracket and the roof. In transit, they had sat in one position and had become distorted and wouldn't lay flat. I solved this by sitting them in hot water for a while and then used clothes pegs to bend them back to their intended profile. That's the benefit of rehearsing the fitting I guess.
They are sitting pretty now and I think that had I fitted them as they were, they may well have returned to the proper shape eventually.
No biggie! All's well that ends well and at half the price of OEM's I ain't complaining. To be fair, I can't see what the difference is between them and OEMs .
Simon sends them out immediately they're paid for and by rapid courier. From order to completed fitting could be as short as 3-4 days. Fitting time - about 90 mins including gob shop time and tea stops,

Well that's for sure
One question, would I need to get the "D3/D4 roof rails" and the "D3/D4 extended full length rails", as two seperate kits to complete the fitting ?
Or does the extended full length rail kit you supply include the rear / shorter rails ?
From what I could figure out at the dealers, when we were looking up the parts system for the OEM rails, it looked like you had to order the "Roof Rails" CAB500120PVJ as one item, then seperatly order the "Extended Roof Rails" VPLAR0074.
So just wondering if this is the same with the kits you offer !?

I brought some last month from simon (never did say thanks, Si) first class service, only fitted last weekend, I use a bit of fairly liquid on the rubber edges just to see it in a bit easier a I found it tight and only the screws could pull it down into position. Always best to use a bit of lube if a little tight CLUB DEFNER

What Simon sells is the complete kit. You can remove your existing rails and sell them.

Any recent feedback on these OEM long rails ?
How do they differ (if at all) from the genuine LR part ? Other than the price obviously
