Land Rover Lands End to John O'groats convoy 2016
Well I have just finished the Lands end to John O'groats convoy. Estimated 280 land rovers made the trip.
I travelled in total 2059 miles and used 335litres of diesel. Even tho my D3 had a problem from the start as Iv got a hole in my intercooler that I found a couple days before, it drove amazingly and I totally love the truck.

I've been following this on Facebook. Discostu did it in his defender. It looks fantastic from some of the pictures I've seen.
I'm hoping it gets done again next year, as I would really like to do it in my a Series 2a. However at 16mpg I suspect I would use a bit more fuel than you did!
I work your consumption as 27.9 mpg which ain't too bad with a holed intercooler!

We are talking about doing something like it again but I doute it will be from LE to JOG as that's been done now. Going at other options. I must admit the support we've had on the way was excellent. People on bridges waving taking pictures, villages showing their support. And the people a JOG well that was just supectacular.Tonga Green D3

Saw a load of them going up the M6 on Friday as we were heading south,
Around Carlisle down to j36 area.
They were going in the opposite direction to tailbacks
Wondered what the yellow badges were for, now I know,
Flags flying etc, thought it was a big LR meeting somewhere

Didn't know it was coming, but we popped over to John o'groats for coffee and all the landys were there - was great seeing the variety of models that made it - and the sun shone too ☀️ Well done guys.
It was a big crowded with everyone queuing to get a picture at the signpost - usually it empty when we go - great to see such a buzz at JOG.MY2010 D4 3.0 TDV6 HSE Stornaway grey

On a normal day this van would have been the main attraction - but the landys stole the show

It is a 4x4 awning should have legs and standing up but we just used it down to keep things dry.
We brought it just from this trip looking at investing in a fox wing or something similar for next trip.
Not my D3 just using it for example of the awning.Tonga Green D3

Spotted a few Land Rovers with the camel trophy style logo, while I was up in Sutherland earlier this week.
Even got a wave from a D2 There is no such thing as bad weather, only the wrong clothes.
