It may well be a good car, but personally I am unable to get over how it looks and could never buy one for that reason.

I work on the same industrial estate as my local Land Rover dealer, so see them everyday and I dislike it even more now than I did when it launched.

Unusual is what Land Rover do.

I had a close look at discostu's D5 at the weekend. My overriding impression was one of "at lest LR have now caught up"..

The HUD. Really cool. Been in the X5 for over 10 years
Lane Assist. Really cool. Been in Renaults ffs for years
Adaptive Cruise....

The list goes on..

I rate the way it looks and the cabin is suitably plush and I may well end up with one but as Iggy remarked to me

"Would you do THIS in it though?"

Meaning, roof rack, all terrains, drawer systems, dual battery system, wire in spots and led area lights, nato hitch adaptor, boot baskets, etc, etc - ie prep it for overlanding

And the answer is a big NO - so it's a wait for me yet...
 D3 07 SE - still going strong
D3 07 HSE - gone to car heaven
FL1 - gone to Romania
D3 05 HSE - gone to a divorce diet
D1 V8 manual - gone but not forgotten
RR Classic - gone to car heaven

Jeeps, Lexus, X-trails... Too many to name..

No but I did to my D3.

Don’t have a Volvo at the moment. My “every day car” is a Lexus NX.

My last Volvo was an s80. Went Christmas time.

D5 is a really good car why get so hung up about the rear look its really not that bad.

Whether it's a good or bad car is a matter of opinion that's legitimately up for debate on an enthusiast's website Thumbs Up

To be fair, it's not easy on the eye from any angle, but the rear is a wonderfully easy target for a little bit of lively debate with DG Laughing

I do have suspiciously large feet for a midget.... Confused
I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.
