Land Rover website - Discovery 3 / 4 XS
Hello all
Just been browsing the Land Rover site while passing a little time, and was surprised to find a fault with the image of the Discovery 4 on the web site. Despite clearly advertising the Discovery 4 XS I noticed the photo wasnt right. On looking closer I noticed that although it appears to be a Discovery 4 it has Discovery 3 headlights!

I may be wrong but .....
Are you expecting to see the LED lights, I believe they are not on the standard XS (LED Lighting only included with the optional Xenon and Xenon Adaptive Front Headlamps).
However, look at the GS 3.0 and that has the glass roof, which is only available on the HSE . looks like LR think they have a poetic license to show any D4 picture, in fact looking at this again, only the HSE one has got "Discovery HSE" as the footer of the picture, where as the other pictures do not have a model name attached.

No look closer it actually has Discovery 3 headlights!!
No doubt down to a poor photoshop, however its maybe should have been what was produced.

Had been discussed on here at length at the time of the LR D4 website launch.
Speculation was that some lower spec models would get the D3 light and therefore need a suitable grill to take into account the different diameter lights - joy for D3 owners.
However since the D4's started flowing though, it was all put down to poor & shoddy photoshopping with regard to accuracy.
Shame on LR for cutting such important corners. ...... always on the road less travelled 🚧

Yep - we spotted this and discussed it at some length 6 months ago...
I thought the XS had fogs as well
