OK, well you need to explain that, you bought a product from then you had no clue what it was and that was 5 years ago then have just said WD were which could concern some people
So to anyone reading this looking for a warranty, READ the small print and make sure you KNOW what you are buying, Luxury Care is the premium product they sell BUT you can only have that level of cover until I think the car is 8yrs old or reached a certain mileage.
There are loads of threads about warranties on here, worth reading to help you decide, be careful what you read on here and make sure what you read is up to date and if someone has bad things to say, they explain the reasons why or it could be slightly confusing shall we say

My experience with WD was dreadful as stated. It was a service issue and not what they were prepared to pay for or what I had bought. I didn't use to describe what to me was dreadful, I used the word dreadful. I didn't expand on it because I was happy that dreadful was accurate from my standpoint for no more than the way I was treated by possibly some working his notice. Whatever the reason, I found the service dreadful.
I am now sticking my fingers in my ears and not listening to you any more. FFRR 2017 4.4SDV8 Autobiography. Cost so much I must be mad!

With all due respect the OP asked about peoples views on whether to get a warranty or not, are your cars more reliable
Anyway I guess systems are the same the world through and as it seems we have more warranty issues here I'm sure it does no harm to forward you lot what to look out for
Sorry for trying to be helpful

Had to laugh Discotres, re reliability of cars in Aus vs UK.
Anyways all. I picked up my 2014 Disco 4 today with 16kms on the clock, it now has near 400km.
There are no scratches just plenty of bug splats. (bought in Albury/Wodonga drive back to Melb).
Wallet is lighter so I had better fuel economy.
