United Kingdom 2006 Discovery 3 TDV6 Base 7 Seat Manual Bonatti GreyDiscovery 3
Is my landy worth repairing or selling

Hi everyone. Sad day. Hand brake stuck on so I gave it a few revs lol and then the cab filled up with horrible smell, clutch GONE. So basically the hand brake motor is 400 quid without fitting and the clutch is nearly a grand. I owe 3k onit how much would it be worth.
It's 2006 good condition good servics history 126k on clock. I have an iid tool for it puddle lights roof rack it's fully kitted with a fridge and Harmon karma speakers good leather condition, genuine side steps and dog guard. Not sure if it's worth repairing if on eBay they're selling for 4to 6k.cheers

Cheers

Have you pulled the emergency release cable on the handbrake? The clutch might be fine once it cools down! I’d give it a go and see before you condemn it! Thumbs Up

My view has always been with any car is to factor in wear and tear repairs, brakes, clutch etc. at a 126k if it's the original clutch it's about due (it's a heavy truck) the parking brake as said may be just needs releasing and a good check and overhaul. Plus you could be buying more problems if you decide to sell/beak yours only you can decide but if it has been a reliable vehicle I'd consider keeping the devil you know. In the last 9 months my sport bought in December has cost me £1800 Big Cry due mainly to poor maintenance by the PO.
