Latest advise on towing mirrors for MY16 Disco 4?

Hi - any tips on best towing mirrors to fit MY16 disco? I understand the mirror shape doesn't help.
I used to use clamp down ones on my previous MY10 disco and they were rock solid.

Thanks.

Do a search, it’s been covered loads, but Milenco Aeros, with the option LR pads and a small “mod” involving a bit of tyre inner tube on the bits that go inside the mirror housing and jobs a good un Thumbs Up

I like the Milenco Grand Aero Platinum Mirror - much more secure than the earlier Grand Aero with any of the optional clamps that I've tried.

+1 for the Milenco Platinum Grand Aero - they are much improved version of the previous Aero and rock solid.

Top tip, always fix the two brackets to each wing mirror first and then slide the bar and mirror into the brackets. It ensures a nice firm fit.

Being a tight North Yorkshire Scotsman, I went with Maypole mirrors.
They appear similar to Milenco (but can’t vouch for any quality issues) but have the added advantage of a rubber strap to secure them ….. certainly gave me peace of mind when towing that they wouldn’t fall off.

Gladly, I dont tow anymore though.

Thumbs Up

Which ever ones you use, wind a wrap of insulation tape around the door mirror and the bar of the extension mirrors.

Even the expensive ones bounce up the tarmac, I know from experience.

I use the Milenco Grand Aero.

Something like;

With the rubbers changed as mentioned by others above;

Always been secure, driven the length of the country and further with no issues.
