Leasing options for businesses

Thinking about changing the D3 and as a VAT registered business owner, I'm interested to hear of any owner's views on leasing options.

The way I see it is that if I lease, yes I can claim the VAT back but the car will have to be assigned to an employee and therefore they will have the BIK exposure. With the BIK rates pretty high for Land Rover products, it seems as though a private PCP is a better option. But that makes me wonder who would use business user leasing?

I had a Defender as a work truck and my accountant had no problem without BIK as it was a towing vehicle and used by anyone, so insured for any driver.

I also have a D4 and that is paid for by me rather than the company as the BIK is like being robbed every month!

Not sure if AndrewS is still on here but he runs D4's and Defenders.
