cant see that fan lasting.
I run just over 100 graphics cards (mining dont ask), and each has 3 fans. They last on average 20 weeks before them fail and fly off. Thats used 24x7.
What about when they get wet pushing the bow wave when playing?

Rubber cover goes back on easily after the lamps were installed so I'm guessing it's as waterproof as originally designed 
As far as fan-life goes, the fans only run when bulb is lit so.......

Hey Harvey, have you got anywhere with the LED units ?
It just struck me you might not have got them fully inserted given your symptoms.
have you seen the photos I posted ? They do need to fit tight in under the headlamp rear casing. Morris Dancers: Drinkers with A Dance Problem
