I’m in Southend but sometimes on Mersea!

Was going to say I have diagnostics if you get stuck but looking at the later posts it's clear you already do. Here's hoping you get it on the road soon.

Oh cheers mate! Luckily I have access to a diagnostics tool has been great for finding some of the faults

Unless you have a bottomless pit to pay a garage diagnostics are absolutely essential for these I think.

Good work finding the cable split, one step closer!

We had a ABS cable get cut through after WalMart managed to dislodge the cable while changing the tire, the dash lit up like a Christmas tree and the suspension went plonk at freeway speeds on I94 in Detroit. Fixed it in the Autozone parking lot with some wiring splice gizzits we bought in the store, and then what was left was kept in the glovebox for future mishaps. Good work finding Lenny's wiring faults. Lr3's can be a minefield of electrickery demons Evil or Very Mad

Yeah and I'm not one to ever use a garage only for an MOT Laughing

That's a good idea to have in the glove box for emergencies! I seem to be there now just need to do some more permanent repairs. Laughing

Haven't had a chance to work on the land rover today but did get a chance to design something with fusion360 and the 3d printer.... a LIFT KIT!

Now this is just testing the fist image is a print file supplied by a user of thingiverse, then the second image is what I have designed which is a little more simple but with the suggested filament it might not work, so stay tuned for future updates!

So another productive weekend until disaster struck.

So started off by repairing the wire on the rear end and trying to do a good job hoping will prevent future issues! started off by re soldering then heatshrink and some conduit I had laying about from campervan project.

Then once satisfied with the wiring job decided to crack on with the timing belt, got most of the front stripped off ready to fit new belt was about to torque the tension then realized I hadn't checked the pump and to my disgust whilst working in the rain and wind its the "bad" pump design Sad so now I've got to order the pump this week and finish the job next Saturday!

So when I got home I decided to see if i could design a 3d printed crank tool, its currently printing will post a picture of final product and let you all know how it goes!
