My D5 must have been more desirable, it only lost £8k in its first year Laughing

More likely the "Cost to change" figure was £8k, as your dealer had a buyer lined up for the D5 or various other reasons inc. the all important end of quarter sales figures. Thumbs Up

Replacing the Velar is on the back burner at the moment, LR value my car at £47k, £12k depreciation in a year Shocked that’s the highest of any LR I’ve owned. Told them I’d rather drop it in the docks than let it go for peanuts.

On the plus side I received a £250 voucher from LR, great! BUT it’s only any use if I have an accident. It’s some excess protection voucher Rolling Eyes

You did well to get that offer. There are same spec (240 Dynamic SE) available on forecourts for less than you were offered.

I suspect we may be in for some "interesting" offers on in-stock cars over the coming months, from all manufacturers, but in particular those who have been a bit public about their struggles.

My dealer is having a sales event this weekend along with others in the group so there are some good deals.

Wow, what a beastie! Thumbs Up

The Velar often reminds me of the Rover P5 coupe of old, like it’s a direct descendant.

This is the like the hot version of the P5B that they never built, but it’s finally arrived (sort of!).

Nice! but preferred the fuel injected Vitesse 3500 especially in Monza red that I had at one time.
