An old friend of mine who was a RSM in the forces had the song always look on the bright side of life at the end of his funeral serves and it lifted everyone’s mood

A friend of mine died 22 years ago and was cremated in a Humanist ceremony to the the Prodigy's Firestarter. We then had a massive party with a band and fireworks to celebrate a great life well lived, if too short. He was 34. New Defender L663 110 SE (known as Noddy!)

I liked the one from a couple of years ago where a guy asked for a recording of him to be put in his coffin with him when he died. It was a recording of him knocking on the coffin lid and shouting that he was still alive, triggered by someone at the graveside. After the initial shock the mourners all burst out laughing.

For me It should about celebrating their life rather than mourning their passing. 2011 D4 XS 305 MY12 - gone but not forgotten

My dads cremation service was out of the ordinary. We were all told no one was to wear a suit as he wasn’t a fan of that sort of thing for a funeral. He was a massive West Ham fan so most wore the team shirts. No hymns were sang as he wasn’t religious by any means instead people made speeches about him and as we all left they played Forever blowing bubbles and there was a bubble machine just outside the exit door.

Oddly one of the most memorable funerals I’ve been to but haven’t been to many. It wasn’t sombre but was a wonderful celebration of his life. Excuse the irony but it’s a funeral he wouldn’t have minded going to. 2006 TdV6 HSE.
