Live Values Logging & Download ?
Does the tool allow you to log data and then download (e.g. as a .csv file) for your own analysis ?
I know I could ask GAP directly, but honestly, I'm going to be buying a s/h one and don't want to bother them when I'm not going to be buying it from them.

It does allow you to export CSV files, but IMHO it's not the best (compared to other tools) for three reasons:
1) The CSV format is difficult to unravel, a lot of manual editing cut/paste is required with each file. I'm a highly experienced user of Excel and I find it a real pain. I generally use the GAP IID App's own built in chart viewer, but it's not perfect and can also be a pain with the scaling options on multiple tracks.
2) The live values all have their own time stamp, which can be up to half a second different to another reading.
3) It's a bit of a faff to send them to yourself - I forget how to do it every time, it's not as simple as clicking the log and hitting export. I often click share, but that just sets sharing permissions. For the record, to view a log, you have to: Select the log and click View, then select the chart view (which isn't the default - on the Android app at least), rotate your phone to get the correct view, THEN click export.
My old Britool Lynx device is the best I've found for easy CSV analysis!
Below is an example of CSV file from GAPIID tool. Note how each recorded value has it's own unique timestamp, this makes producing a graph or similar a total pain. Also note the differences in time values (up to 0.4 second):

That's an excellent reply, thank you If I pm you my email address, could you send me an example data set ? With any personal / identifying detail removed, of course.
I too am a fairly proficient Excel user... this sounds like what I call "fun".
