load rating wheel

Just had new wheels (not LR) with winter tyres fitted this morning.
Load rating of tyres is ok (112), but can't find the minimum load rating of the wheels in the handbook of the car.
Am I right to assume this must be at least Max Gross Vehicle Weight divided by 4? They were sold to me as fit for use on Disco3, but the wheel is rated at max 690kg load....

Regards,
Thomas

Also, check wheel weight rating, and dont go below 900kg.

Tyres, well weight rating is key. In the UK, min spec should be 111, but in Oz its 109, dont know about the USA (check your handbook)

I'd seriously just turn around and take them back! MASSIVELY UNDER RATED compared to manufactur specs for 2.7tonne vehicle.

I doubt that your insurer will pay out if you have an accident due to a broken wheel (or the wheel breaks whilst your having an accident etc.)

Thanks Bodsy - beat me too it.

Genuine D3 alloys seem to be rated at 960Kg, whilst RRS & RR are 900Kg.

NO!

a) max axle loads are different and

b) offroad you can put all the cars weight on just two wheels quite easily
 Cheers

Thank you for all your quick replies.
Have gone back and had them taken off.
So no winter tyres at the moment (he didn't have stronger wheels in stock), but didn't want to take any risk.
He told me this morning I had the last set he had for a Disco3... Apparently sold a few sets already.
Regards,
Thomas

He should contact the customers and tell them they are driving on potentially dangerous wheels.
