Anyone have the physical dimensions of the rear loading bay? Busy planning my drawer system with place for a water tank and fridge.2012 LR Discovery SDV6 SE

gerudman, you're in luck I still have my old hand drawing.
As follows, looking in from the back door.
Floor to roof liner 950mm high.
Floor to side panel top ( where the cup holders are) 500mm high.
Floor level at door entrance between the plastic panels ( where the panels
angle inwards towards the floor +/- 60mm each side ) 1000mm.
Between the top corners of the side panels ( cup holders ) 1090mm.
With 2nd row seats up:
Door to bottom of seats at floor level 1150mm.
Door to top of seat, seat shoulder level ( not head rest ) 950mm.
With 2nd row seats down +/- 1850mm.
If you are not planning to use the 3rd row seats, I pulled them out,
fitted a sub frame, got a 60lt water tank and extra packing space
in that space. Used about half the top space for my box, pulled the
middle row center seat out & stuck my fridge in there. May not work
for you but works for me, have a look in my gallery, your welcome
to give me a PM if you need some advice.D3 bullbar-spots-roof rack with spots-ladder-long range tank-swing out spare wheel carrier- upgraded tow bar-dash console-internal water tank-duel awnings-drawer system & T T.

Perfect, thanks very much! I was contemplating using the 3rd row seat storage space for a watertank - nice and low. Previously I had a tank between the drawers and the rear seats, but perhaps this time drawers can be longer with the tank below. Also thinking of mounting the aux battery behind the fridge slide in the drawer unit.2012 LR Discovery SDV6 SE

If you do pull the rear seats, there is some space behind the 2nd row seats
where the 3rd row passenger's feet would be, could may be put the aux battery
there and save some space D3 bullbar-spots-roof rack with spots-ladder-long range tank-swing out spare wheel carrier- upgraded tow bar-dash console-internal water tank-duel awnings-drawer system & T T.

Had a look at your gallery - looks like a pretty good idea you had there for the sub frame with the tank. I'll surely investigate that.

Is there a ready made cover that covers the whole of the back when all five rear seats are folded down?
